Yep, I have a weakness and it shows up when I'm doing art. I found out this weakness when I was in figure drawing class back in college. The teacher prefer no music, he said it ruined our focus. I hated the silence. I hated it so much that I took what little money I had and bought a portable CD player and brought it to class. And while everyone else drew in silence, I had music. Now, my art was good but it wasn't great, I was just too timid. This was a struggle through most of my art classes and the teachers always had to push me beyond my comfort zone. So the very day I listened to music my teacher noticed a huge difference in my drawings. He was impressed and hung one of them out on the coveted "wall". He asked me what I did different and I said I had music. He let me listen to music the rest of the time in that class and in any other class I had with him. And so to this day I need to listen to music while I work.

The trick is though I need to listen to certain music with each piece I do. For example:
I was more focus when I listened to Mozart's "Requiem". Though I did listen to other songs while working on this the prominent one was Mozart.

So I told you my little weakness or, way to focus. What do you guys do to help improve your focus on your art?
